Surface Preparation

Begin by ensuring the wooden surface is clean, dry, and free from dust and contaminants. Sand the surface using fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 220 grit) for a smooth foundation.

Mixing the Varnish

Before application, thoroughly mix the VP510.XX.0000 PU varnish , following the recommended ratio with the Polyurethane Hardener (HP600.00). The standard mixing ratio is 100 parts varnish to 50 parts hardener.

Choosing the Application Method

Select your preferred application method based on the project requirements. The Polyurethane Varnish Matt Series offers versatility, allowing for application with airmix or conventional spray guns.

Application Process

●     For Airmix Spray Gun

Adjust the gun settings for an even and controlled spray. Maintain a consistent distance of approximately 6-8 inches from the surface. Apply thin, overlapping coats to achieve the desired coverage.

●     For Conventional Spray Gun

Adjust the gun settings according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Apply the varnish evenly in smooth, sweeping motions.

Drying Process

Drying Time

Allow the applied coats to dry according to the specified drying times:

• Dust-Free in 10-12 minutes
• Touch Dry in 25-30 minutes. Ensure proper ventilation during the drying process.

Stacking (500 kg/m²)

Once the varnish is completely dry, typically after 3-4 hours, surfaces become stackable with a load-bearing capacity of 500 kg/m². Exercise caution to prevent any damage during this period.

Additional Coats (Optional)

If a higher level of protection or a different finish is desired, consider applying additional coats after the initial ones have dried completely.

Curing and Full Protection
